|   |  | The proposal happened on December 29th, 2017 at the Minnesota Wild game. Ashley had no idea what was about to transpire that evening.
During a break in the game we both had to use the restroom. Upon arriving back to our seats, Ashley was preoccupied taking pictures. I spoke with a fan sitting behind us to snap some photos on my phone when I propose, he agreed with a big smile on his face. So I gave him my phone along with my passcode! Another brief break in the game and that was my moment to shine.
I looked over my shoulder to the fan and gave him the signal. I nudged Ashley and told her to step out of her seat. She was on her phone, and gave me a confused look, and finally we side stepped to the aisle and I got down on one knee. At this time there was no turnin back. All eyes were on me, and I could hear the crowd starting to clap and cheer me on! My feelings of anxiety were gone, and I felt a surge of adrenaline and excitement as I saw her face and the roar of the crowd. She was in total disbelief. We locked arms and I gave her a kiss, and that time we were both in tears. This was the moment I’ve always dreamed of. It finally happened.
I wasn’t sure if my secret agent behind us got good pictures, which didn’t matter. We had multiple people snap photos during the moment and came up to congratulate us, and provide the pictures to us in text.
The Wild ended up winning the game. We celebrated our engagement in downtown St. Paul and met so many fun people! |
 |  | When Shane got down on one knee, I was in total disbelief. I did not see it coming that weekend. Which made the surprise even better! It was one of the best days of my life and can’t wait to be married to him. |
