It was TOTALY expected. Jacob and I had talked about it beforehand. He thought he was being sneaky... but he was forgetful and asked me 50 times if I had Memorial day off! SO I couldn't sleep the whole night before! I was so excited. Jacob was trying to be subtle on Memorial day and asked me where I would like to eat lunch. I had a hunch he was going to the restaurant we had our first date at. I suggested taco bell... He finally caved and named the restaurant of our first date. That was when my suspicion was confirmed! It was very sweet and we held hands on the way to the restaurant and they were closed for construction!!!

I had always teased Jacob about being ready to be engaged. His older brother, Joe, had proposed on a hike and Amelia's husband, Evan, had also proposed on a hike. I would always ask him if we could just go for a hike already!! After finding out where to eat lunch we just hung out and watched Netflix. Towards the evening Jacob had said "I know our plans got a little ruined with the restaurant being closed... but do you want to go for a hike?"

OF COURSE I SAID YES!

We walked around a beautiful lake in Woodbury and finally at the very last beach Jacob got on one knee. Even though it was expected it was just like in the movies. It was so exciting and is still so exciting!
