Ceremony

Our wedding is a meaningful long time awaited day, we tried to incorporate as many fun details as we could.

The date, November 11th, was my grandmother's birthday. I am wearing my mother's original wedding gown, no alterations needed! Our first date was to Sunday River, and we also went to a great wedding together of our friends at the Bethel Inn. So the Bethel Inn was where we decided to have our ceremony and reception, with great views of Sunday River! As you will see our tastes vary, my favorite meal is anything with Salmon, hence the Salmon Oscar as a dinner choice and Tyler is a meat and potato kinda guy, hence the slow roasted prime rib. Along with our tastes being different my bridal party is in lace and sparkles and Tyler's groomsmen are in mossy oak camouflage.

Speaking of the wedding party. Let's do some introductions! Tyler's best man, Joe Hogan, has been friends since Tyler started at Maine Oxy in 2009. They immediately became friends when they started talking about all types of hunting, and anything to do with fishing. Even though Joe now works at Pepsi, we still get to see him almost every weekend for whatever the occasion is! The next groomsman is Nick Melcher, they became close after Nick's wife and I became close in college. Nick and Tyler enjoy trips to Rangeley to visit Krista's, Nick's wife,  parents, hunting, and just hanging out. The third groomsmen is Nate Harlow. Tyler and Nate have known each other for years but became really good friends while also working at Maine Oxy, such good friends they were roommates for a winter! Nate and Tyler enjoy going "up to camp", four wheeling, and going on road trips.
As for the bridal party, Kristen Camic is my maid of honor, we have known each other since 2nd grade, we even rode the school bus together. As we went to middle school our friendship became more evident always sitting at the same table in home room which wasn't always the best idea! Then we hit high school our interests changed a little but we remained friends. When we got to college, at The University of Maine, we both had awful freshmen roommates, by the end of first semester we decided we needed to be roommates! After college we still make time for at least once or twice a week, wine nights, movie nights, or just venting nights! My next bridesmaid is Krista Melcher. I met Krista Brackett, now Melcher, our freshmen  year at UMaine, in a psychology class that neither one of us wanted to be in. We later had to go to a special class to get tutoring for it, which again neither one of us wanted to be there. We are so close now that I have the honor to be her and Nick's son's Godmother. Her son Tanner will be 2 for the wedding and will be the adorable ring bearer. He enjoys anything with wheels, bubbles, bouncy balls, and deer . Krista will also be officiate of the ceremony. My third bridesmaid is Victoria Tanous. We, like Tyler and I, met during high school Alpine skiing while on competing teams. Little did she know I was always trying to beat her race time, we have yet to do a rematch. After highschool, Victoria went to Babson University, where we lost touch. It wasn't until mutual friends after college we started hanging out again, now when we hang out the time always flies by because we have endless conversations about our lives, men, work, and anything in between, and when our next tropical vacation will be!
