It was Friday, November 24th when Caleb and I met. He was bartending in downtown Charlotte & I was out with one of my girlfriends for the night… third wheeling & also, chosen to be the designated driver. Brooke, my wanna be wing girl, made it her mission to make sure Caleb and I both got to know one another that evening. So, we started talking a little, eyeing each other a little, flirting a little, & trying very hard to not acknowledge the strong connection we had. Eventually, Brooke & I left Prohibition that night around 12:30, but not before Caleb promised to meet me at Church the following Sunday so that we could sit together. That same Sunday night, we went ice-skating together on our very first date. And then we fell. Not on the ice, but deeply and quickly for each other. It put all other first dates to shame. And we’ve been together ever since, and everyday is better than the last. We’re rib mates- predestined to be together by the Lord and designed so specifically for one another. There’s no one else we’d want to spend forever with.
