Just two years ago, we went on a weekend adventure to Okontoe Christian Camp in the BWCA wilderness, in Grand Marais, MN.  Part of our plans included an adventure to the Gunflint Pines Resort and Trail, which included a winter sleigh ride.  The Patten Family welcomed us, with a cup of hot cocoa and wool blankets to keep us warm as we hopped aboard the sleigh.

Under a moonlight night, and half an hour into the ride, the Belgian Horses came to a halt, right in front of the "Kissing Tree".  The Patten's turned and offered to take a picture of our proposal, to ensure we were able to treasure the moment forever.  We gave a nervous laugh, and a smootch for the camera, and proceeded to enjoy the perfect Minnesota winter night and trail of hundreds of beautiful illuminated lanterns.  

After the sleigh ride we drove back to our cabin.  Little did Angie know, I had the ring in my pocket the entire time.

I decided to wait until we were alone, and once we were back at the cabin to propose. I quickly got the fireplace going so we could warm up. Once the room heated up a bit, I turned to Angie, and got down on one knee.  I asked her "Will you Marry me", and became the happiest man alive, when she said YES!
